PACIFIC, ATACAMA, LAUCA NATIONAL PARK
This tour stays for unique natural sceneries. Over a period of 5 days we travel an area which extends from the Pacific Ocean to the highest lake in the world, cross part of the Atacama desert and enter the highlands of the Chilean Andes. During half-day hikes we touch centuries-old Andean villages and learn about the very special flora and fauna of the Hiking area. SALT LAKES OF SURIRE AND COÍPASA
During this 6-day trip we cover a total distance of 935 km and cover an area which extends from the Pacific Ocean to the Andean highlands up to the Atacama desert. DESERT OASES AND THE ANDES
Starting on the Pacific Ocean this tour leads along the Panamericana through the Atacama Desert where we visit remote oases. The tour continues towards secluded Andean villages in the submontane Andes where we learn first hand more about the day-by-day live of the Aymara population. Another highlight of the tour is the visit to the Lauca National Park, famous for its 6,000 m high peaks covered by ice, as well as the visit we pay to the highest lake in the world, not to forgett the diverse flora and fauna. This tour offers an easy introduction to the heights of the Andes, as we spend the nights in Codpa at 2,400 m altitude only.
